a new noise
The M104 in my 94 E320 shows a 6 flash code; something about idle speed control but it idles fine. However with the engine off and the key in the "run" position I hear a grinding sound from the engine compartment. What is this?

Making a diagnosis from that description would leave me to believe you are having a "throttle actuator" problem.

is this something I can replace myself?
