Where the hell is the Overvoltage relay???

Hi all,

I am still trying to chase down the problems with my '92 500E (dead tach, throttle in limp-home, shifting also in limp-home I believe, no cruise control, no A/C, and no codes!) and believe it might be related to the overvoltage relay I have seen mentioned in posts and on AllData. Unfortunately, it is not where I was led to believe it should be, next to the firewall. Can anyone tell me for sure if it exists on the '92 500E, and if so, where's that little bugger hiding???

Thanks,
Brian Flanagan

Over voltage relay is part of the BASE module in the computer box. Open that box & look for the module with fuses.

Brian, sounds like a "ETA" is in your future. Check the stored DTCs and let us know. Also check out MENU#24 on my pages. . . more than you wanted to know . . . . :)
