car wont turn off

i have a 1981M Benz and the key wont turn off the car i have a book that says there is a problem withfault infuel system cut off solenoid but cant find that part anywhere i have looked can anyone help me in the right direction thank you Jeanette

What model car?? is it gas OR diesel? Diesel shut-off happens by a vacuum diaphram shutting off the fuel.
