SLS Leak
 I drove the 560 out of the garage this afternoon, to clear the way to drive out my Craftsman riding mower (great mower btw), and as I was pulling out the mower, I noticed a drop of clearish fluid on the concrete. After smelling and feeling it, it was clearly hydraulic fluid :(. It came from the left rear strut area of the 560, and upon further investigation, I found that the bottom of what appears to be the strut is leaking fluid. I've never had any trouble with the self leveling suspension on this car, nor have I ever serviced it (truth be told, I was scared to mess with it). I need some advice, guys.
Thanks, Dave. |
Sure it's not the line to the strut from the accumulator? Used struts are around $65 or so...

No, hitman, I'm really not sure. I only glanced under the car, and saw fluid on what appears to be the bottom of the strut. Could very well be the line. My mechanic is also a personal friend, and he lets me hang out with him in the shop , so while he is doing the trans modulator and fluid change next week, I'll look other the strut and line. If it is a line or strut, where do you get'em ?

Struts I'd look used, I see them on ebay from a good seller. I bought an extended glow plug relay from them... Poto-something German on ebay.
I never priced the lines, but I've glanced over them for sale. |

That's them!
