my 1994 e320 cabrio CEL,has been on for a while,I understand wiring harness needs replacing,recently transmission gets stock in first or 2nd gear,I understand there is electronic speed control of some sort,I was wondering if the transmission problem is also due to the wiring harness.The transmission kinda kicks down and it only happens sometimes,usually when the car has been driven for a couple of hours.

Cel light has been on for a while,wiring harness needs replacing.Recently the transmission gets stock in first or 2nd gear specially if the car has been driven for a couple of hrs,sometimes it also downshifts.
I was told that there is a sort of electronic speed control device that will be effected by faulty wiring harness,I am wondering if the transmission problem is also due to the harness .
All replies are urgently needed and appreciated,before I start spending a lot of money on transmission.
