I have an old '76 Mercedes diesel. It sat for roughly two years. I charged the battery, but it won't start. What are the likely causes and their solutions?

Does it have fresh gas, fresh oil, and all fresh filters?

No to all the items. I assume from your question that fresh fluids and filters will probably allow the car to start? How can I remove the diesel fuel from the tank? If fresh fluids and filters don't work, what next?

Does it glow? Do you know how to glow it? The old ones (up to 76) required one to manually glow it to starting conditions.

Does it feed fuel? Thats whats next after getting it to glow.
