Right and Left Hand Threads on Rod Ends
I want to order tie rod ends for the 190E. The choice for the parts lists two possibilities... an end with right hand threads and/or an end with left hand threads.
What should I order? I want new tie rod ends for both the right and left side of the car. |

I also just replaced both Tie Rods on my car. I purchased new assemblies, one for the right side and one for the left. I removed one side at a time, laid the old one down, adjusted the new one to the same length, and installed it. The steering wheel is straight and no pulling, but I am buying new tires soon so I'll have it re-aligned at that time. I prefer buying new assemblies, not just the ends. Be sure to check your steering damper too. Dave |
Dave... how recently? Can you dig the old ones out of the trash to see which threads they have?
But I'll check to see if parts has the complete tie rods. :o) |

Yes they do have the full assembly. Will do! Why do you mention the damper? Our vehicle has 101,000 miles. Was yours weak?... replaced?

Have you owned your car long? I noticed that you are replacing several parts. Dave Photos taken today. http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w...d/IMG_0682.jpg http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w...d/IMG_0685.jpg http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w...d/IMG_0694.jpg |
Order two rights and two lefts. Each side gets one right and one left.
