1982 w123 mercedes 200 gray market

I am trying to find parts for my car but because it is gray market no parts stores or even dealerships have any idea how to help me. My car is near perfect for a 1982 with 117,000km. I am trying to do a tune up as it has a slight studder upon stand still acceleration.

I currently am searching for a fuel filter(where is it in the car), an Air filter and I want to replace my fuel hoses from the gas tank and from fuel pump to carburetor.

I have already changed the plugs, wires rotor and dis. cap.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

Martin

Try www.adsitco.com

They even have replacement lenses for Bosch Euro headlights.

And don't forget; "gray market" is the term that fools in the US parts business use. Your car is actually the original MBZ design - not the bastardized US version.

a 1982 200 would be a M102, similar to a 190E 2.3, but carburated.

You need to know more about your car - the body is straight w123 stuff, so that's no big deal. If the engine is the M102, you need to use that when ordering parts. With the global economy we have, you should have no problem getting parts for that car - even if your dealer has no idea what your car is.

In addition to the above-referenced places, grab a Mercedes Enthusiast magazine; lots of ads in the back for European companies who trade in Euro MB parts.
