W124 wiper motor tribulations
I was heading home for thanksgiving Wednesday, and acrid smoke that smelled of electrical problems was coming out of the AC vents. the windshield wiper had been going slower and slower, and then stopped. the smoke was coming through only when the wipers were on. Will installing a new wiper motor solve the smoking problem? Or does my problem lie somewhere else?
Any help is appreciated. |

you will need a new motor.but dont hook it up without repairing the wiper drive assembly.looks like the grease inside has dried out.do a search on this sites archives for the how to
