The door locks on my '94 E320 wagon don't lock at the same time anymore. I did a quick search and didn't find too much info - only that they are vacuum driven. Can someone give me a quick layout of the vacuum system for my car and the most probable point for a leak?

I don't know if your 94 is similar to my 85, but when I lock (or unlock) there is a "whirrrrr" of a vaccuum pump, which might not working in your case? (fuse, broken pump, etc.) and I was able to hear a hissing from where the line was broken.

Perhaps one of the tech.s here can point you in a better direction.

I just repaired my C36 from the "whirring" sound. A vacuum hose had rubbed against the inside sharp edge of the door panel and split the vacuum line in half. I used a shrink tube to fuse the 2 plastic lines back together and split a small piece of vacuum tubing down the middle and wrapped it around the vacuum line to keep it straight and from rubbing on the sharp edge again. Power locks work fine now.

So it sounds like I should investigate the system in the driver's door area first? Any tips on how to get the door panels off on a W124? Where is the main vacuum manifold for this system? That information will help trace tubes. Thanks for the replies.

I can't remember how now, but there is quite a bit of info on door panel removal here, just use the search option, I'm sure a ton of threads will show up.
