trans fluid

I looked at some older threads
seems the new fluid is being used in old trans
part#001989450313
Has anyone tried this in their trans that has a 5 speed
I have a 2000 sl 500
Any help would be appreciated

while I'm not familiar with the part numbers, I am with the fluids. The newest ATF is suitable for use in the earlier cars requiring the MBz syn ATF. I guess the newest fluid is less $$$ as an added bonus.
