1989 190e 2.6 stalls when warmed up

my 1989 mercedes 190e 2.6 with mileage 276k falters and stalls when it reaches operating temp (88 Celsius). Stalling is often (but not always) accompanied by illumination of the ABS light on dash. After engine stalls, cannot restart until cold. Replaced front crank sensor already with no improvement in symptom.

The front sensor won't make it stall. The Crankshaft Position Sensor going from the flywheel to the Ignition Control Module will. It sends a low voltage to the ICM while the starter is turning the engine over, then the voltage increases when the engine starts. As you can see in the photo, one end plugs into the ICM and the other end sticks down into the flywheel area and can become dirty.
