Need help on A 1983 380sel -POOR running
I have a guys '83 E320sel and I can't figure why it has a miss to it. I just started it cold and ran down the street and it runs fine... NO MISSING. When It is warm and under load, it will miss intermittently like bad ignition.
HERE IS what I did: Replaced sparkplugs, Nippon Denso. Replaced the plug wires including the plug caps. Replaced the CAP and ROTOR. I have checked the connections at the ignition box mounted on the left wheel well. The car has 255K on it but the engine has less. I have adjusted the injection at the air box...no good. ANY IDEAS OUT THERE???:confused: |
bad injector/s ? cold start might compensate till it warms up .. try flooring it when its cold to see if it misses under full throttle

I seemed to have fixed it!! I removed the electronic ignition module and made better connections on the one GREEN lead that comes from the distributor. I also removed and installed a couple of times the four prong plug that also goes into the module. Drove the car for about ten miles and it runs good.
