1989 300E wagon stalls and won't restart
My 1989 300E wagon stalls and won't restart. It runs for about 15 minutes and then will not restart. It cranks over no problem but seems like something electrical shuts down. It will restart the next day. I have replaced the OVP relay with no improvement. Any ideas?

When the problem happens you need to see if you are losing SPARK or fuel pressure.
Then decide what is causing that problem.

Next time it dies I'd pull the fuel pump relay and jumper pin receptacles 7 & 8. This will turn your fuel pumps on for as long as they are jumpered. If that does the trick you'll know your FPR is on the fritz.
If not, you can check for spark..a spare spark plug around would make the job easier Jonathan
