W124 heater blower problem
 

The blower in my 500E doesn't work after the car was parked outside during snow and frozen rain last night. I think maybe snow and ice blocking blower cage? I could see snow inside through the mesh on both sides of the of the wiper. The same problem happened last year after snow storm, but then it disappeared and I did not do anything.
Did anybody notice this with W124? Is it even possible for the snow to get into the blower compartment?

Start by checking the fuse for the blower..in-line 30A fuse.

Yes it was the first thing I checked. Fuse was fine, voltage on both sides. I found it was ice or snow. After a few hours in the garage @50F the blower came back to life. First with some scratching noise and then normal. The blower regulator limits motor current at the safe limit in case of the stalled rotor, but the downside is that motor develops very little start torque and unable to overcome even minimal obstruction.
