My recently purchased project car, 1988 300E, has sheared motor mount brackets (the metal bracket bolted into engine block) Does anyone know the torque spec. for these bolts?

Your assistance is very much appreciated.

No published spec in MB books, rule of thumb for 10mm bolts is 40-50nm(25-30ftlbs)

Thanks for the help.

Appreciate the help. Motor Mount brackets hopefully coming this weekend. Interested in why they appear to be made of aluminum (safety impact reasons??).

The only reference I can find to your engine mount extention is in the Service Manual, Engine 103, section 01-310.
There are no torque values, just referenced as item 122.
As MBDOC said, use rule of thumb for the cap screw size.
