92 300E, Headlight switch replacement
Sorry if this is already posted...searched but couldn't find it.
1992 300E sedan, Headlight switch replacement I think that my headlight combo switch needs to be replaced. How easy is this for a DIY? Seems like it would be fairly simple...but I've said that before. Thought I'd ask the experts first. Any instructions or photos of this replacement? Thanks for any help or advice. |

Just to clarify...
Looked at parts in the shop here...my guess is that I need to replace the "headlight switch". How is it removed, through the front or back of dash panel, etc? (sorry for the newbie question that may be obvious). :-)

lalan, as I recall, the knob pulls directly off the front with a good jerk. There you will find a large thin nut holding the piece in place. You may need to remove the dash piece around the switch -- if so, it is straight-forward.
Your search here should hit a few threads because that is how I knew to do it to remove my cruise control amp a few years back. Keep asking questions. There is a ton of knowledge here.
