I own a 1999 E300 Turbodiesel, and just purchased a becker cd changer for the car. However, the instructions are vague, and I need to know where the changer mounts, and where the factory fiber optic cables are located.

The CD mounts in the LT REAR section of the trunk, the fiber optic cables are under the carpet in the LR WHEELHOUSE AREA. I have complete instructions! YOU will still need the dealer to program RADIO to allow the CD player to work.

Did the same install on my 99 E300 about 18 months ago and it was a snap. Do a search on this site and you will find a narrative with pictures for the install. BTW, I never took mine to a dealer to "program the radio" and it works fine. Good luck!
