Rear End Chirping?
The 560 has developed a chirping/squeeling if you get up to 55, and let off of the gas without applying the brake.
Any clue as to what's up? Thanks, Dave |
The mice making happy noises?
Just kidding. I would check my belts for looseness first. Tom W |
Does the noise change with road speed, engine speed, or does it stay constant?
You say it goes away when you let off the gas, so that sounds drivetrain related to me. My first guess would be the rear differential, but like someone else here said, it's really hard to diagnose sounds over the internet. |
It seems to come from the rear of the car, on the left side. It changes with vehicle speed. On acceleration, it is not there. Only on decel, before you apply brakes, after you have been above 50 or so, do you hear it.

possibly the bearing for the caliper mounting bracket, they can dry out and make noise, expensive fix.
