another exhaust question.lol
i want so loud that the police will stop me, then ill work my way quiter. but whats the loudest thing i could do to my 1994 E-420? i know some of u might say *cough...rice....cough* but yeah loud enough to get me pulled over so then i can work like i said i can work my way quiter.

The loudest thing you could do would be to disconnect the pipe from the exhaust manifold.
Good luck. |
trade your car for a ricer.
|
Police don't stop you in America for loud.

Quote:
As far as loud goes, cut off the pipe after the catalytic converter. If that's not loud enough, then cutting off the converter may get you in trouble with the emissions police, and Al Gore will fly over your house and bore you to death with his monotone voice. Poor car. |
there r no emission laws here in illinois. thats funny, poor car?

Some idiots in one of those "Box" ('77-'90) Chevy Caprices pulled up to an East Oakland stoplight, right next some Oakland California police car, and their "music" was so loud it rattled the hell out of the dashboard of the Police car. They arrested them. |
Yes there are emission laws but there not ennforced. like I dont have to go in for "a monthly check up" how would they know that i would fail the emmisions test? im not really racing (illegaly) so there not pulling me over and then smelling my exhaust.lol happened. that cop was a freak.

And after the exhaust pipe is free from the manifold, put a microphone at the manifold outlet, plug it into a boombox, crank it to full volume, and enjoy poluting the serenity of everyone within 100 meters of you.
|
sorry dont understand meters.lol its miles, feet, inches, MPH, all american stuff.lol
|
It's a shame you don't understand the metric system - the one used in every country of the world except the USA. You may then want to consider trading in your MBZ for a Ford or Chevy; They still use SAE Standard.

[QUOTE=Larry Delor;1728762]I sure wish that sometimes they'd stop for stupid. :D
ME TOO! They would be so busy they wouldn't be able to write any other tickets. |

Where can i learn the metric systm? ive always wanted too just school never tought me
|
The metric system? Increments of 1, instead of fractions.
You don't really "learn" it per se, you just get used to using it. 10mm = 1cm; 100cm = 1 meter (1000mm = 1meter); 1000meters = 1kilometer deca = 10, hecta = 100, kilo = 1000 (units) 1gram (about the weight of a paperclip) 1000grams = 1 kilogram (often just referred to as a kilo) Temperature is simple too! 0° = when water freezes; 100° is when water boils. |
