Woohoo! Fixed cigarette lighter...but need a bulb!
 

I was following some directions I got on this site to get to the fader control (trying to stop crackling) and when I popped out the ashtray holder, lo and behold, someone snipped both sets of wires leading to the cigar lighter and just let the BARE WIRE ENDS HANG FREE:mad:. They even left the socket in place! Well, it was a simple matter of crimping on new connecters and Voila! 12V! I tested the ashtray light and it's getting juice, so i need a new bulb. Anybody know where I might get one? Autozone? Pep Boys? Part #?

Bonus: When I re-connected the cigar lighter, my glove box light started working!:D

Last but not least, I'm sandpapering the terminals on the fader. Is there anything I can do to clean the inside (wd-40 was mentioned by someone earlier)? Or must I disassemble the fader to give it a good cleaning? While I'm at it, is there any way to clean the connector that the fader plugs into?

I would try some tuner cleaner (I bought my last can at radio shack).

Autozone had a Sylvania 2721 in stock. She lights up fine!
