What are the proper tachometer readings at idle when in Park, and while at a standstill in Drive for a '84 500 SEC? Thank you in advance for your reply.

Tach Readings

I've found that the best idle is always around 600 - 500 rpms for the 1984 500

Every specs I've seen are for 750 +- 50 RPMs. Question? Are you having problems with fast idle it could be the over voltage protection relay. This relay can cause very fast idle situations.
