I have a 230CE w124 '88, with a single A/C aux fan.
The fan used to run at high speed now and then, but has never operated at a lower speed. Now, should the fan run at low speed all the time as long as the A/C button is pushed? And, secondly, where do I start searching for the fault? I have heard people talk about a low speed resistor? Thanks! Anders Eklo - Norway. |

The low speed fan will come on when the pressure inside the a/c system gets too high. The best way to check is to bridge the high pressure switch on the drier and see if it comes on...

OK, then it apparently works alright. I heard some talking about there being a low and high speed mode of the fan. But since I have only one fan, this should kick in at high pressure, and at only one speed. Am I right?
