Recommendations For Rebuilt 560 Sel Engines?
 

Think I want to install rebuilt 560SEL 1991 engine. Any recommendations, good stories vs. warnings on vendors? Thanks for feedback. chris

Have 2 cylinders smoking mildly fouling plugs a little. But recently broke timing chain guide, hopped a tooth or two resulting in some bent valves.

I am thinking that by the time I invest in rebuilding two uppers, I really do not want to keep a '91 lower, so might as well as do the whole thing. I already have done the cooling, tranny, hydraulic suspension...lets just finish it up and have my new sedan :) Love this care, great body condition...chris

Adsit is on everybody's blacklist.

Your engine will repair for less than half the price of a rebuild. There is never a problem with the bottom end.

What steve said.. Full on rebuilds are getting pricey as the $$ gets weaker and weaker..
