I just completed replacing the tie rods, upper control arms and lower ball joints on my 300D. Prior to installing the new tie rods I got them as close as I could to the length of the old ones. During the test drive it is quite evident it is not aligned but the creaks that I could hear when going over bumps are gone :) - mission accomplished.
Is there anything I can do at home to bring it into somewhat of an alignment? I will get it to the alignment shop over the next couple of days but I would like to get it as close as possible prior to taking it over there.
thanks

Take a piece of chalk and hold it next to each tire as it is rotated. This wil scribe a line on the face of the tread. Take a piece of string and measure between the lines front and back of the tire. Toe will be right when the front lines are 3mm closer together than the back lines.
