What tips do you all have for finding leaks in a/c system ?
I have no high tech sniffers or ion detectors but what pre high tech methods would you recommend.Id let the local shops do it but they all seem terribly busy and not very interested. Thanks from Georgey from colorado 82 300 td |
Find an independent shop that has the equipment to test the ac they will find the problem. They want your business and will do any and everything to satisfy you.

Another Alternative...
Auto Parts stores like AutoZone sell a leak detector kit that has a flourescent dye and a miniature UV lamp so you can do your own leak detection. You install the dye into the AC system, and assuming you already have enough refrigerant remining to provide adequate pressure to make the compressor run, using the lamp will show you a glow where the dye is escaping...
Also, you are better off finding an independent Mercedes mechanic than trying to find an AC shop that will service Mercedes. |
