126 sunroof slider pictures please!!
http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/diesel-discussion/213140-late-126-sunroof-pictures-please.html#post1756955
Whilst I swap the head on my '87, I'm going to spend some time to get everything working as new. I need some detailed pictures of how the sliders connect to the roof panel itself and how the sliders are oriented. Mine had been disconnected previous to my ownership and, well, those beautiful pictures in the FSM ain't showing me diddly. If any of y'all who happen to have their sunroof headliner off would be so gracious as to snap a few digital images, I'd be mighty obliged!

I get the error too.
I have just replaced the sliding/pop-up part on the left side of the car and it was quite a struggle figuring out how it all goes together. It was easy to get out as it was all smashed. The right side will have to come out now as it is dirty and gummed up with old lube and will not slide easily. The pictures in my shop manual show a different mechanism than mine so I had no help. Perhaps if you tell me what stage you are at I can try and describe the procedure? I am currently searching for another type of lube than the MB stuff, which costs more to buy than gold ($70 for a pill-bottle size container!). I wanted to add that the local MB guy says he will not touch a sunroof without a $1000 deposit!!
