SRS light
I have done a search and got little info on my situation. Background info is: purchased the car 2 weeks ago and everything worked on it perfectly. Yesterday started car, turned on headlights and immediatly the front left low beam burned out. Tried to turn on my heater and got nothing. Climate control system now not functioning.
The SRS dash light comes on when i turn the head lights on low beam. Turn on the High beams and the light tuns off. The light SRS turns on and off like its supposed to when i start the car. Checked fuse for headlights. Checked idle voltage - 14.2v. Would a burned out front left low beam cause this problem?Any ideas? 1990 300d 188,xxx miles BTW, my first post and this site rocks |

fixed it
Replaced the headlight and now there is no SRS light with low beams on. Blower motor still not working though. Checked the strip fuse and its burned up.
Odd that a headlight going out would take out the strip fuse for the blower. Mike

Two separate failures (as In Un-Connected)[EDIT: That SHOULD be Un-Connected]
Headlight
Blower Fuse(I'd be researching that failure, bad brushes or lack of lube in the Blower Motor[Failing bearings]) (Failing Blower Motor can take out the Blower Motor Controller... AND you do not want to have to buy one of those!) The problem with the SRS light illuminating (With no SRS system distress) sounds like Bad Grounds! [Little Electrons are Ingenious in finding Un-Authorized Alternative paths to Ground!]
