driving blind
1992 Mercedes 500SL the car has been stored for about 2 years we put a new battery in and started It up the car is running well but there is two problems took the care in to a local shop for a oil change and to check the brakes the first problem there is on speedometer no gas gage no tachometer and on oil presser they have check all the fuses in the car and all wires and they are stump
The second problem the hardtop is stuck and will not release automatically is there a manual way to release the top |

You said all of the fuses have been checked... I would replace them also... there can be hairline cracks in them. It sounds as though your instrument cluster fuse is blown... I'd change it anyway, it's only a few cents! Good luck.

I had the same gauge problem with my 300D. The fuse was visually intact and undamaged but I replaced it anyways. It fixed my problem and cost $0.50. I would say it is worth a try.
