Removal of third seat cushion on W124 wagon

would anyone know the proper proceedure for removing the 3dr seat cushions(back upright one) from a 1989 300te wagon?
problem is the two screws that hold the center latch in position are completely loose and the cushion has to be removed to place the screws back into the plastic latch.when the latch is pulled for raising the back rest to the vertical position you are left with the complete latch assy in your hand.
thanks in advance

ps,i did search forum and there is no instruction in the seat section on my cd

Latches for both rear floor panels are constructed the same. Lafting the latch pulls a small pin inside toward front of car. Photo shows screwdriver for position, but you'll need something thin & flexible.
Mounting screws for pivot brackets are under the panel toward front of car.
