Brakes question... Pics!
Hi!
I've just got some 4 piston ATE brakes off from German eBay. However, the seller (a scrappy) wasn't sure himself which car it came off from. The calipers are surely ATE and 4 piston. It has a number on it saying 0024. Does anyone know what car this caliper is for? Oh forgot to mention, my car is a 1994 W124 E220, the brakes came from a W124 too but the model is unknown. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...6/SL746783.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...6/SL746782.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...6/SL746781.jpg They are not C36 brakes are they? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...freyli86/1.jpg Cheers! |
Looks like a 1990-96 500SL or a 1993-95 500E

Doc:
I use to have a builder at my transmission shop who "slept" with his shop manuels and could recite them, looks like you do the same. Thanks God for this industry for crafsmant/tech's such as yourself! John1 |

It'll take a few modifications to make those fit the straight six models.

No idea really. From what I've read, modifications are the balljoints right? Does anyone know what disks this caliper takes and if there's a repair kit available? Just thought it's best to give it some fresh rings and the lot before I put it on the car! Cheers. |
