1988 190e Check Engine Light
Hi All,
i just purchased an 88 190e that is immaculate, the only problem is this morning on my way to work i noticed the check engine light came on. Since this is a new car to me i am unfamiliar with the codes and even where to check and how to check and then clear them. Any help on this would be great. |

shouldn't have any codes ...unless it's a California model perhaps.
most likely an o2 sensor... a diy fix... generic sensor might cost you 35 dollars

i checked the codes at it registers as 8 blinks which is a altitude correction capsule? I have never heard of this and the car seems to be running fine, is there a way to reset this code or any help with locating this "capsule"
