C230 front wheel bearings
 
97 C230: last week doing an oil change > I grabbed the front wheel [I don't subscribe to top loader technique] > wiggled it and there was some play..

Refresh me:
If wheel is "wiggled" at the 12 and 6 oclock position > what is correct result??

If wheel is "wiggled" at the 3 and 9 oclock position > correct result??

Wiggle on the 12/6 axis is bearing clearance.
Wiggle on the 3/9 axis can be either bearing or tie rod ends.
