SRS Light on '03 E320

This is the second time my SRS light has come on, on my '03 E320. The first time, I let an indy repair the fault for about $380. They removed the passenger seat and used a "repair kit" from MB that amounted to some sort of soldered connection within the seat belt restrain system. This may, or may not be the same problem this time around. Can I pull the seat myself and check the connections, or is the fault stored in the car's computer and will have to be cleared by an MB diagnostician/computer? Or, could the fault be in another area of the SRS? Any ideas on what to look for, or how to remedy this malfunction wihtout dropping another $350+? Can I clear this code with a normal "drive cycle"? Thanks for any advice.

The only way to know if you've got the same problem now as you had before, would be to check the fault code(s), and see if they're the same as the first time. Most SRS warning lights are triggered by high resistance in the various ignition circuits, so it's absolutely vital to know which fault code you've got before you start poking around.
