16V bogging while driving - Need 16v Guru in NJ area

Hi guys, got my 16v last week and it runs great most of the time. Once in a while, the car starts bogging like its not getting enough fuel on acceleration or like the brakes are applied. I have to massage the accelerator gingerly to get it up to speed from a stop - it takes about 15 seconds to get upto 30 mph. If i floor the accelerator, the car still bogs terribly but gets upto 30mph is a little less time. its driving me nuts. It happened yesterday night and I parked the car and I drove it today morning and can ran perfectly, and then a half hour later, the bogging started again. can onyone in the NJ area help me, or can you recommend anyone in NJ area I can take the car ?I live near Princeton. thanks in advance guys. one more thing, the car revs beautifully while in neutral all the way to redline without drama - the bogging happens only when car is in gear and driving.

Did you do normal cap, rotor, plugs, and new fuel filter. Things one would change when buying any used car.
So the will rev without problem if in neutral but only hesitates when you are accelerating?
How is the fuel mileage?

Havnt done any of that, I will probably do all that If I were certain that is the problem. and yes it revs perfectly in neutral but the moment I put it in gear and try to accelerate, it bogs.
