Still chasing squeak/creak in rear susp.

On a 95 E320 wagon. The rear suspension creaks [sometimes] when it extends like after a tight turn or going over a speed bump. I hear it coming from the right side, not the left.

So far I have replaced the swaybar links and adjusted the rear height down about an inch by lengthening the SLS connecting rod. (It still seems a a little higher than the front but I didn't measure it yet) I was hoping that putting more weight on the springs would solve the creaking but it had no effect. The ride is a little more 'floaty' after lowering the SLS so there must be more weight on the springs and less on the shocks than there was before adjusting.

When replacing the swaybar links I was concerned that there was extra lateral space where they mount on the bottom both with old and new links. The old ones were metal and the replacements are plastic. There were no bushings or spacers there to take up the extra room so the links apparently float on their mounting bolt?

The SLS is working. I can raise and lower the car with the lever on the SLS controller.

Any suggestions what to try next? Accumulators? Or should I lower the back more first?

Thanks!
