Help with 280CE Euro
Hello everyone, I have a 1985 280CE euro,M110, and would like to know if anyone knows what the Engine compression should be, what I need to knew is the Compression in each cylinder. I have been getting readings from 150 to 195. I am having some issues with a shop that is installing a used engine. Any help would be appreciated. If any further info is needed please ask.

I believe the Euro 110 engine is 10:1. This is due to the domed pistons. Obviously, it requires premium gasoline.

The "euro" motors were 9/1 ratio & the USA versions were 8/1.
That car should have a M110.988 designation.

MB lists compression on a 9/1 engine at 40-60C at 10/12 bars with a min of 8.5 bar.
A bar=14.8psi. (approx)
