Well, I checked the temp sensor today and both sides read the same. I cleaned the connectors with DeOxit and reassembled them. Next I cleared the codes. I'll take it out for a drive later and see if the codes come back or not.

Just answer the second question.. POST #26..........................
Does your car have a CE lamp?????????????????????????????

You get in the car and you turn ON the key...you look at the dash and you see a bunch of lights.... and if you see a light that says "CHECK ENGINE" , then you have a CE lamp..if you do, then you have the LED/SW for code access, if you don't , then you don't.

Yes I do have a check engine light. What Would be the next step?

Very Good....if they read the same, it was most likely a poor connection, thereby changing/varying the ohms value....

Seems to be the case. I've been driving it for a couple of days now and the CEL has not lit up again, even with the original 02 sensor. I will probably change it out soon anyhow as I'm pretty sure it's been in there over 60K mi.

Thanks again for the help.

Every thread that I search says push "the button" and count "the blinks". None say where the button is or where the light is. Someone please help I leave Sunday night for the week and I'd like to take my car,

It's on the 16 pin diagnostic connector near the battery. Go to the link on Arthur's post #28, then to page 11. You should find a connector that looks like that, and hopefully it will have a pushbutton and an LED.

Thank you deanyel for finally clarifying that. I don't have a button so i guess its gonna be guess and check to fix it.

With no button you have to build the home built code reader - same info just a little harder to get to. You have a PM.
