It is driving me nuts
I know it has been discussed many times in this forum, but I have not seen specific instructions to remedy creaking interior in W126s. I got a 1990 300 SE and it creaks over bumps or even when brakes are applied, from 2 areas 1) right A pillar to the top of the passenger side window area and 2) top of the driver side window and th roof liner area. Right side is worse. I have sprayed silicone on surfaces that potentially could cause it but it does not go away. Do I need to remove the molding on the R A Pillar, and treat behind it? What about the top of the passenger side window area, what should I do for that?
I really appreciate some help on this. Loud music works well, but you can' do that all the time. All the best |

My 1988 300SE can be a little creaky too.
If you can't have loud music on, I suggest flooring the accelerator; the roar of the engine and the screams of people nearby will drown out the creaks.
