560sl check engine light please help

hello there, i have a 1988 560sl with 107,090 miles on it. the check engine light comes on at low speed and i can run it on a long stretch at 55 mph and it goes off. the car does have a rough idle and i do appreciate any help or suggestions. thank you for your time. jason in tennessee

IF the car is a "federal" version?? not a California version, the lack of oxygen sensor activity is the only cause for a check engine lamp.
