W123 280ce euro front turn signal help
I'm trying to get my car back together and get everything working so I can get it back on the road and when this was imported back in 85 it was americanized and my turn signal has 3 wires each. I just got a European Haynes manual and the 3rd wire does not exist in the book. But it is clearly part of the original harness. It is white with a black stripe and on the right side it is white with a red stripe. Can anyone help me with this? I wanted to wire it back the way it should have been because whoever spliced in the extension piece to run to the turn signal did a piss poor job. It works the way it is but was curious about it. Thanks

The Haynes W123 Diesel volume has Euro and US wiring diagrams. There might be a copy at your library.
I'm curious, which is the way it should be? IIRC Euro corners are darker amber and don't have a trailing reflective section. Whether the lamp has a standing light is determined by the socket and bulb. Tail lights are also different with Euro cars not having a reflective and illuminated red leading edge.
