1991 4matic engine mount question
Since my mechanic is probably in his farmhouse in Tuscany (how can he afford that?) i am tackling my engine mounts this weekend.
The passenger side is easily accessible, but the top 17mm will not budge. I do not have room for a socket of any sort so a short open ended crescent is all I can use, how can I move this one? The driver's side I will have to be able to reach the top 17mm from underneath but I think I can wriggle in there. I would love a tip or two... I have searched the forum but cannot find anything relating to this particular vehicle, 1991 300te 4matic. Tia, S. |

engine mounts
While not a 4matic - I did my 300e mounts recently and brutal to loosen the bolts. Ended up having to pry the socket handle with a small crowbar against something (not enough room for any leverage) on the drivers side - and did it from under the car. I'm sure yours has even less room.
