2005 s55 Squeaky Shifts help!
I really need some help here...I have a 2005 S55 AMG that, at 35k miles, makes a loud 'squeaking' sound each and every gear shift while driving. All the MB mechanics have indicated that its 'spec' for the turbo charger to make that 'high performance' noise. NO repairs needed? Who pays $70k for a car that squeaks? Something is being hidden by MB. What is this problem and how to solve?

The most likely problem is the supercharger clutch. VERY common problem.
Be persistent & have them check with factory rep about replacement!

The dealer shouldn't need to get MB involved. I've replaced a handful of Kompressor clutches under warranty with no hassles. Ask your dealer to make sure they've got the tools they'll need, though. Puller #113 589 00 33 00 wasn't sent out to dealers automatically, as most tools are, so they'll probably have to order one. That's what I had to do.
