2008 MB E350 warning lights on

The last few weeks my new 2008 E350 warning lights comes on, took it to the dealer twice and couldn't find the problem. Sometimes brake lights comes on too, could it be an alternator issue?

Are you talking about warning lights, or exterior lights?

In the last year or so, I've had several clients complain that they've got lights not working, or working when they're not supposed to. After doing some digging, I found that in each case, they didn't actually see any lighting malfunction but were told about it by someone who saw it from outside the car. What they saw was the normal activation of the cornering lights. :o

I'm referring to warning lights, for some reason the dealer could not diagnose the problem and evry week its a different light lights that comes on, I was thinking this is an alternator issue or related, maybe you can help me.

You shouldn't be worrying about it, the dealer needs to address the issue untill its fixed.

What exactly is the warning message? It will specify which light is out.

OK, so you're getting a warning message in the instrument cluster display, not a warning light (Check Engine, ESP, SRS, etc.), right? Like Johnhef says', the warning message will specify exactly which light isn't working. If it's an intermittent problem, and all the lights were working when your dealer checked them, it's no big deal. They can perform a quick-test with SDS. A fault code wiil be stored in either the drivers' side SAM, passengers' side SAM, or the rear SAM (Signal Aquisition Module). This will identify the problem, if it's actually a bulb issue.

Let me ask you this. Does the warning message you're seeing have something to do with the passenger side airbag? This is another common complaint I get all the time. If someone gets in, or out, of the passengers' front seat after the engine is running, you'll get a message indicating the change of readiness status of the the passenger-side airbag. This is a normal condition. Could this be the message you're seeing?
