Trouble finding fuel pump relay. '91 190E 2.6
I have searched and read based on the symptoms of my problem and have a strange finding. All signs point to a bad fuel pump/kickdown relay. The MB part # is 002 545 52 05 and reads, 6Zyl.6550, min KVS Kickd. So, I bought one off eBay.
My problem is actually finding this ellusive relay to pop the new one in. Wisdom on this board puts it behind the battery near the OVP, ECU, and ABS computer. There, it ain't! Where else might I look? I know there is a stack of important bits under the instrument cluster down in the kick area but I'd like to have more info on that before I remove the knee pad and finish panels down there. Anybody know for sure on a '91 190E 2.6? Thanks, Sam |

I think the Fuel Pump Relay is integrated with the MAS Control Unit on your car.

The 1990 & later 190E 2.6's use a MAS relay that controls about 5 different functions including the fuel pump.
That relay is much larger & has a KNOB on top to remove it. IT is located behind the battery with the other computers.
