Can a BMW 5 speed be used in a Benz?
I have a Getrag 245 5-speed tranny from a 1982 320is with 95k. Can it be used on any MBZ model? Thanks.

I think not without making adapters and such.

My SL AMG has the Getrag 265 in it, which is the 245 with a dogleg shift pattern and without the overdrive fifth. It bolts up to my M117 engine, but I hadn't the time nor the lift to really poke around near the bellhousing to find out how AMG got it to mate. But "can it be done?" Absolutely.

Bellhousing is different & so is the output flange.
Would cost a lot of $$$ to do that.
