1997 w210 e320 feuel tank capacity

For my w210, E320 1997. What is the fuel tank capacity and what is the predictable mpg?

okc329 06-09-2008 11:21 PM

1997 E-Class brochure says ...

mileage is 25 mpg in mixed driving and 28 MPG on the highway. I have done as well as 31 MPG in mine over a distance of 300 plus miles at 65 MPH and with 93 octane fuel. On my car, the fuel tank holds 21.1 gallons or 80 litres.

What is the cost per gallon for premium gasoline at your location?

Enter your VIN here. http://old.mbclub.ru/mb/vin/?lng=eng

It should tell you if it is a 60L+10L reserve or a 70+10.

Thanks for the reply
in United Arab Emirates the cost of the top quality gas (blue color nozzle)( I think 98 or 97octane) is 1.84 USD/Gallon. In Saudi Arabi it is even cheaper ( ~50% of the price in UAE). The reason of my question is not cost concern but rather to check on the general well being of the car.

for the price info on premium gasoline. At 97 or 98 octane, it must be close to aviation quality.

You're right, it doesnt list it. It does on my 99 which is 80L. I know a lot of the 96 E300's had the smaller tank. I believe that 97 was a cross over year, at least for diesels.

I retopped fuel tank just now .I managed to calculate the average mpg; I am getting 18.57mpg! sounds low:mad:

But I think driving while AC is on and with many traffic lights in Abu Dhabi (here as soon as the light turns green the race starts where cars reach the speed of 50mph in no time before stopping in the next traffic light 1 mile down the road and if lucky you find it green). You have no choice but participate in the race because the cars behind you and around you are mainly v8 SUV and BMW...etc who are anxious to reach the next traffic light when it is still green!
so ~18mpg I guess is not bad for performance driving;)

You should move to Venezuela with your gasser. I believe Pres Chavez only charges USD$.13 per liter or possibly per gallon (either way its VERY inexpensive) for gasoline in order to stay in power.

Or, you should get a 98/99 E300 TurboDiesel. I can keep up, and also get 31mpg.

What does diesel cost in the UAE? I paid USD$5.20 per gallon last fill up.
