Advanced question on 300e Klima relay bypass

Hey guys,
I have a quick Klima question. Redid my entire A/C system on the 300e last summer, made the mistake of doing it on a budget. I got a rebuilt compressor off eBay (I know, I know, should have known better). It worked great all last summer, quit sometime in the fall. Been diagnosing it for a couple of days, seems the speed sensor has gone out. I'd like to keep it running for a couple more seasons before I rip it all out and rebuild it right. So, I'm building a replacement Klima relay out of a pair of ice cubes to remove the speed sensor from the equation. I can replicate all of the functions of the Klima, except for the signal to the CIS fuel injection.

So, what type of signal does the Klima send to the CIS? Is it straight 13.5v? If I bypass the klima without this signal, what effect will it have on the running of the car? And finally, could I easily replicate the signal so I don't compromise on the bypass?

Thanks!
Regards,
Scott
