Hey guys!!

I was just about to take my car into the shop to get all the fluids changed out and was just thinking, hey i could do it myself.

While the car is a totally different beast then what im used to; the 1984 Mercedes Diesel 300SD, a normal person should be able to change the oil rite?


Anyways I was just wondering if anybody had links or info on how to do an oil change.

Engine Crankcase,
Transmission
And
rear differential.

If you go back to the home page you'll find the DIY section which should have all the information you need. There are often pictures to help guide you. The articles may not be for your specific model but you should be able to make the adjustments easily.

Many MB DIY'ers draw the old oil out thru the dipstick tube and since the filter is on top there's no need to jack up the car. Of course, you need a suction device for that which is mentioned in the articles.
