help engine idling problems

Just got an 86' 260E w124. Everything is in order except that I noticed that the engine idling seems to be a bit high. When the aircon compressor is on, idling is at 1400rpm. With the compressor off, idling is at 1200rpm. Is this normal? What are the correct settings and what is the best way to perform the adjustments. Thanks.
